My first attempt at what could be called a splash, I suppose. The idea was to show all the places things took place in the chapter: The makeshift grave,the concessions tent, the desolate city. The circus tent and the ocean (yes that is an ocean) foreshadow chapters to come.

Wow, I just remembered that it is still Chapter 3.
Ian Evans April 28th, 2017, 9:39 am
@artofjoe: haha, the chapters get a lot longer after the first couple
artofjoe April 28th, 2017, 4:33 pm
@Ian Evans: I don't think I've ever written a chapter over 30 pages long ... Noice.
Ian Evans April 29th, 2017, 2:07 am
@artofjoe: I feel like that's not true. I'm going to go through your stuff and test that assumption. On the other hand, having long chapters isn't a necessity to having good chapters, it just affects the composition and is kind of an authors preference.
artofjoe April 29th, 2017, 2:35 am
@Ian Evans: Now that I think about it... That first Charming chapter is probably over 30 pages. But I totally agree with you. After all, chapters are only there to help people keep track of where they are and to give them good stopping points, right?
Ian Evans April 29th, 2017, 3:44 pm
@artofjoe: exactly. For example, this chapter was like a mini arc, or idea. The whole point of the chapter was to be able to see Ged and Laturia behaving in separate settings. So once they were back together, the chapter drew to a conclusion. Well, that wasn't the whole point of the chapter, but to me it was the most logical point to wrap it up into the next part.

@artofjoe: I find it funny that the day after this comment, chapter one of Rift was released (Ya know, the story with over 200 page chapters XD)
artofjoe June 24th, 2017, 5:10 pm
@Mushroom Flabs: :) That is true! But all of your pages are a whole panel.
Mushroom Flabs June 24th, 2017, 8:21 pm
@artofjoe: you are correct.

P.S I haven't posted chapter 5 or anything on stick moot because I have been away from my computer for about a week. I will be posting stuff soon though(this Monday)
artofjoe June 25th, 2017, 1:38 am
@Mushroom Flabs: I am very excited!
And I agree, paint is hard! That's why I use my hands.
Ian Evans June 25th, 2017, 1:02 am
@artofjoe: yeah about that. I'm doing a pokemon comic that is one panel per page and the first chapter is like 100 pages but if there was 5 panels to a page it's like there is only 20 pages in the first chapter. BUT working in MS Paint is like the hardest thing ever, so major props to Mushroom Flabs because that takes some dedication
Mushroom Flabs June 25th, 2017, 6:58 am
@Ian Evans: Thanks! I found it tricky at first. Mainly with an error that made the amount of colors I could use limited ( one of the reasons I chose to make it one panel at a time)
Ian Evans June 25th, 2017, 2:09 pm
@Mushroom Flabs: that kinda sounds like a nightmare to me lol
AmeliaP October 9th, 2017, 8:13 pm
that's interesting! Now we can see the path they have to walk, and it's a long distance o_o.
Ian Evans October 9th, 2017, 8:57 pm
@AmeliaP: One of these days I'll make a map and it will be easier to see where they've been
AmeliaP October 10th, 2017, 3:52 pm
@Ian Evans: It'd be cool :D
